Fastener buying guide

Prepare a clear specification for bolts, nuts, screws, washers and anchors.

For procurement & maintenance teams

What to include in your enquiry

Send a product schedule, drawing or installed-part reference to our Karachi technical-sales team. The following information helps identify a suitable product and quotation scope.

  1. Product and standard. Identify the fastener type and the required DIN, ISO, ASTM or project standard. Similar-looking products and different standards are not automatically interchangeable.
  2. Dimensions and thread. Include diameter, length, thread pitch or TPI, threaded length and head or drive type. State units explicitly. A drawing is useful for non-standard parts.
  3. Material and strength. Specify material, property class or grade and the required coating. Stainless material and strength class are separate selection considerations.
  4. Operating conditions. Describe exposure to moisture, chemicals, temperature, vibration and the mating materials. Material or coating selection must suit the application.
  5. Quantity and destination. Include quantity by size, delivery city and required date. Availability, lead time and delivery arrangements are confirmed in the quotation.
  6. Documentation. State requirements for material certificates, inspection, traceability or third-party testing before ordering. Documentation scope depends on the exact product and agreed supply.

Replacing an existing fastener

Send the installed part number, markings, photographs and measured dimensions. Photographs help identification but do not establish material grade, strength or safe working load.

Safety-critical applications

Structural, pressure, anchoring and lifting applications require the governing design specification and appropriate product documentation. Selection, installation torque, load capacity and substitutions should be approved by the responsible engineer or equipment manufacturer.

How quotations work

This catalogue supports business enquiries. Products are not purchased through an online checkout. Our team confirms the proposed specification, quantity, price, availability, documentation and supply terms before you order.
